Here are some frequently asked questions from our guests.

Making and/or Modifying Reservations

Q: How do I make a reservation?

A: Reservations for horseback rides, private accommodations, and vacation packages can be made on our website. We require a minimum 24 hours’ notice for online reservations; for last minute availability with less than 24 hours’ notice, please call Santiago at +501-661-1536.

Q: How do I know if my online reservation is confirmed?

A: If you make an online reservation, you will be required to make a 15% deposit using PayPal. Assuming your reservation goes through properly, you will receive an email confirmation. If an email confirmation does not come through, please check your spam folder. If you still cannot find an email confirmation, email us at info@hannastables.com.

Q: I need to change or cancel a reservation. What do I do?

A: Please email us immediately at info@hannastables.com. When contacting us, provide the full name and email address used to make your reservation, along with your requested change.

Payments and Refunds

Q: How do I pay my remaining balance?

A: Remaining balances are due in person when you arrive. We accept credit cards and cash (US dollars or Belize dollars) as payment.

Q: Do you issue refunds?

A: Our refund and cancellation policy is stated here on our website.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Hanna Stables is located in a rural area of Belize, just a few miles outside of San Ignacio in the Cayo District. From Belize City, we are a 90-minute direct drive. Transportation options vary and are explained here.

Q: I am on San Pedro / Caye Caulker. Can I still do a horseback ride with you?

A: Absolutely! From San Pedro or Caye Caulker, you can do one of two things: either take a Tropic Air flight to San Ignacio and arrange for our driver to pick you up (fastest option), or take a water taxi to Belize City where our driver can pick you up (longer option).

Q. How far away is Hanna Stables from the beach?

A: We are pretty far from the nearest beaches. Many guests will opt to split their trip between staying at the beach and staying with us in San Ignacio. We recommend doing this to make the most of your time in Belize.

There are several major beach options in Belize. Distances below assume your are traveling by private driver; cheaper transportation options exist via the public bus, or faster, more expensive options via Tropic Air flights.

Q: Do you have any age or weight restrictions for horseback riding guests?

A: Yes to both. We kindly request that guests weigh no more than 250 lbs. Guests of all ages are welcome to ride with us, but we caution very young children to ride with adults.

Q: What should I wear for my horseback riding tour?

A: We have made a blog post with recommended clothing and accessories to bring for your horseback ride. These items are recommendations only; nothing is required.
